LIFE CYCLE ASSESSMENT

Environmental Transparency Through Lifecycle Science

Applying advanced Life Cycle Assessment to deliver verified environmental intelligence for global compliance, ESG reporting, and sustainable product positioning

LCA

Lifecycle Assessment Services(LCA)

In today’s business landscape, sustainability is no longer a choice — it is a strategic necessity. With rising global concerns around climate change, carbon emissions, resource depletion, and stricter environmental regulations, organizations are under increasing pressure to demonstrate measurable environmental performance across their value chains.

Customers demand transparency. Investors expect ESG accountability. Regulators require compliance. Markets reward responsible brands.

This is where Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) becomes a powerful decision-making tool.

Life Cycle Assessment is a scientifically recognized methodology used to evaluate the environmental impacts of a product, service, or process throughout its entire lifecycle, from raw material extraction, manufacturing, transportation, and use phase to end-of-life disposal or recycling (cradle-to-grave or cradle-to-gate analysis).

At Greenex EPD global, we deliver robust, ISO-aligned LCA studies that transform complex environmental data into actionable insights. Our assessments follow globally recognized frameworks such as ISO 14040 and ISO 14044, ensuring methodological accuracy, transparency, and credibility.

We help businesses:

  • Quantify environmental impacts

  • Identify emission hotspots

  • Optimize products and operations

  • Strengthen sustainability reporting

  • Support EPD, ESG, and carbon compliance initiatives

Our approach combines technical expertise, verified data analysis, and practical business alignment,  empowering organizations to make informed, strategic, and sustainable decisions.

Why Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) Matters

Regulatory Compliance

Regulatory Compliance

Ensure alignment with international standards such as ISO 14040, ISO 14044, and ISO 14025. LCA supports compliance with environmental certifications, EPD requirements, and global sustainability regulations.

Hotspot Identification

Hotspot Identification

Identify the most environmentally impactful stages in a product’s lifecycle, whether in raw material sourcing, manufacturing, transportation, usage, or disposal. This enables targeted improvements and efficient resource allocation.

LCA provides credible data

Risk Mitigation

Proactively manage regulatory, reputational, and operational risks. LCA provides credible data that prevents greenwashing and strengthens sustainability claims with scientific backing.

Product & Process Optimization

Product & Process Optimization

Enhance manufacturing efficiency, reduce energy and water consumption, minimize waste generation, and lower overall operational costs through data-driven improvements.

Competitive Advantage

Competitive Advantage

Differentiate your products in sustainability-conscious markets. LCA-backed claims enhance brand credibility and improve market positioning.

Who Needs an LCA and Why?

Life Cycle Assessment is relevant across industries including manufacturing, construction, chemicals, packaging, FMCG, automotive, textiles, and infrastructure.

Manufacturers

To optimize material usage, reduce energy consumption, improve process efficiency, and lower environmental footprint while maintaining profitability.

Product Developers & R&D Teams

To design innovative, sustainable products with reduced lifecycle impacts and improved durability, recyclability, and resource efficiency.

Corporate Leaders (CXOs, CSOs)

To integrate sustainability into long-term corporate strategy, carbon neutrality roadmaps, and ESG commitments.

Procurement Heads

To evaluate supplier sustainability performance, manage Scope 3 emissions, and reduce supply chain risks.

Compliance Officers & Auditors

To ensure adherence to environmental regulations, certifications, and avoid penalties or non-compliance risks.

ESG & CSR Managers

To provide transparent, credible environmental disclosures in sustainability reports and stakeholder communications.

Everything You Need to Know About LCA

Get answers to common questions about Life Cycle Assessment, its importance, methodology, and business benefits.

  • Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) is a systematic method used to evaluate the environmental impacts of a product, process, or service throughout its entire lifecycle—from raw material extraction to final disposal. It helps organizations understand their environmental footprint and identify opportunities for sustainable improvement.

  • The timeline depends on the product complexity, data availability, and study scope (cradle-to-gate or cradle-to-grave). Typically, an LCA study can take anywhere between 4 to 12 weeks, including data collection, analysis, impact assessment, and reporting.

  • LCA itself is not always mandatory; however, it is often required to obtain Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), support ESG disclosures, meet green building certifications, and comply with international environmental regulations. Many global markets increasingly expect LCA-backed sustainability data.

  • An LCA requires detailed data on raw materials, energy consumption, water usage, transportation, manufacturing processes, packaging, and waste management. Where primary data is unavailable, verified secondary databases are used to ensure accuracy and credibility.

  • LCA helps identify inefficiencies in energy use, material consumption, and waste generation. By targeting high-impact areas (hotspots), businesses can reduce operational costs, improve resource efficiency, minimize compliance risks, and strengthen their competitive advantage in sustainability-driven markets.
